Dinner Companions: Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and Dr. Dre

The legendary musicians were spotted sharing a meal in London after Springsteen’s performance in Hyde Park.

Imagine walking into a restaurant and finding Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and Dr. Dre seated at a table, enjoying dinner together. That was the scene at The River Café in Hammersmith, England, where fans caught sight of this iconic trio dining after McCartney and Dr. Dre attended The Boss’s recent concert at London’s Hyde Park.

On the surface, it may seem like an unlikely friendship, but Dre and McCartney have been pals for some time now. In 2021, the rapper posted a photo of the two of them, appearing thrilled to be in the presence of the legendary Beatle. “Here with one of my heroes!,” he exclaimed. “Paul McCartney is cool AF! I’m chillin with one of the f***ing Beatles!”

McCartney and Springsteen have a deep-rooted connection as well — even if McCartney good-humoredly blames Springsteen for setting a precedent that leaves fans expecting four-hour marathon concerts. Last year, when McCartney visited Springsteen’s native New Jersey, the two shared a stage, harmonizing on “Glory Days” and “I Wanna Be Your Man.”

In other music-related news, fans have exciting releases to anticipate from both McCartney and Dr. Dre. McCartney is innovatively engaging with technology, in essence resurrecting his former band with AI. He’s using this technology to finalize a decades-old demo that he plans to unveil later this year. As for Dre, the legendary rapper-producer has reunited with Snoop Dogg to produce “Missionary,” a sequel to “Doggystyle,” which is set to drop 30 years after his groundbreaking debut album.

As for Springsteen, he and the E Street Band are set to embark on a new series of North American tour dates, which will kick off in August.
